Important Information About Your Appointment Request
Submitting the form above is the first step in requesting a private jewelry appointment. The form does not automatically confirm an appointment. After reviewing the information and photographs you provide, we will contact you to discuss the jewelry and determine whether an office appointment or mobile appointment is appropriate. Please enter a working telephone number and email address so we can reach you.
Please Include Photographs
Clear photographs help us understand the type, age, condition, and approximate size of your jewelry collection before scheduling. You do not need to photograph every piece separately. For larger collections, several well-lit group photographs are usually sufficient for an initial review. Close-up photographs of signatures, maker’s marks, unusual designs, clasps, complete sets, or original boxes can also be helpful.
Please do not clean, polish, repair, glue, or alter older jewelry before submitting photographs or attending an appointment. Jewelry cleaners, silver dips, and home repair products may damage vintage finishes, stones, settings, or original construction. It is generally best to leave older jewelry in the condition in which it was found.
What to Bring With You
Bring the jewelry you would like us to consider, including any pieces you are uncertain about. Vintage costume jewelry is often mixed with newer fashion jewelry, sterling silver, estate jewelry, watches, beads, and miscellaneous accessories. You are not expected to know the age, designer, materials, or value of the jewelry before your appointment.
Whenever possible, keep matching earrings, necklaces, bracelets, brooches, and coordinated sets together. Original boxes, receipts, handwritten family notes, and other information connected to the jewelry may also be useful. Small containers, trays, or divided boxes can make loose jewelry easier to transport and review.
Office and Mobile Appointments
Depending on the information provided, appointments may be available at our Laguna Hills office, our Orange Circle office, or at a home, estate, or business location. Mobile appointments are considered based on the size, type, quality, and location of the collection. Photographs help us determine which appointment option is most practical.
All visits are scheduled in advance. Please do not arrive at an office without a confirmed appointment time and location. Appointment-only scheduling allows us to reserve private time for each client and provide a quieter experience than a busy walk-in jewelry counter.
Evaluations, Appraisals, and Purchase Offers
During an appointment, we may examine jewelry and provide our opinion regarding its condition, desirability, age, materials, or potential interest to us as a buyer. Any evaluation, assessment, or purchase offer is based on our experience, professional judgment, current buying needs, condition, expected resale potential, and other factors we consider relevant.
Our purchase offer is not necessarily the same as an insurance value, replacement value, auction estimate, retail price, or formal appraisal value. Unless specifically agreed to in writing, our review should not be considered a certified appraisal for insurance, probate, estate, tax, divorce, charitable donation, or other legal purposes. We make offers based on what we are personally willing to pay for items we are interested in purchasing.
We Purchase Selectively
The Vintage Jewelry Buyer purchases select vintage costume jewelry, estate jewelry, inherited jewelry, signed designer pieces, rhinestone jewelry, brooches, necklaces, bracelets, clip-on earrings, dress clips, and unusual older collections. We may purchase an individual piece, part of a collection, or a larger group.
We do not purchase every item presented to us. Declining an item does not necessarily mean that it has no value; it may simply fall outside our current buying interests. There is no obligation to accept an offer, and you may decide which pieces you are comfortable selling.
Before Submitting the Form
Please provide as much useful information as possible, including the approximate number of pieces, how the jewelry was acquired, whether it appears to be vintage or inherited, and your preferred appointment location. Once your request is reviewed, we will contact you regarding the appropriate next step.
